Art Deco rose to popularity in the early 20th century, making its way around the world from France to New York to the Far East. Many of China's high-end buyers still have a taste for older styles. This was readily evident at ‘Just Building’, a complex part of the ‘Just Stay Different Star Villas Community’ developed by YIDA. Drawing inspiration from the interior finishes and architectural details, the Just Building identity, and environmental graphics reflect a luxurious high-end standard of living.
The identity, inspired by a reoccurring pattern throughout the project, provides a unique opportunity to visually unify and brand the 4-tower high-rise property. The exterior announcement signage and the interior wayfinding system blend oil-rubbed bronze finishes with the polished granite found in the public interior spaces to continue the established visual vocabulary of the building. With its thick and thin lines, the elegant font displays Art Deco characteristics in a subdued palette that demonstrates JUST’s quiet restraint.
