UB Place, positioned in the midtown area of Baltimore, is a mixed-use project slated to be developed in conjunction with land owned by the University of Baltimore, UB Place will provide urban connections to cultural institutions, university housing, amenities and commercial offerings in the midtown district. The project location is on the site of a former U.S. Postal Service vehicle maintenance facility.
The project is divided into two phases aimed to activate the midtown location with residences, retail spaces, and amenities. Through adaptive reuse, phase one of the site will utilize the existing column structure and foundation of the existing facility. To activate the space, the first floor will contain 30,000 sf of retail. The strong retail base and podium acts to support the residential above while forming a greater connection to the community.
